Publisher's Description:
A Consultant in a box!
What will happen to me? My program? My career?
The Silicon Valley Tarot knows. Created by Thomas Scoville, this tarot deck became "flavour of the month" on the internet before a single tree died to create a real card. But everyone who saw it wanted an actual, physical deck...and so we printed one.
The 70 cards include both major arcana (cards like Flame War, Spam, The Hacker, and Double Latte) and minor arcana (in four suits: Cubicles, Hosts, Disks and Networks). There's also a 44-page guidebook with Scoville's oracular interpretations, as well as instructions and sample spreads so you can see the future right away!
This is the tarot for the new millenium. 2000 came and it's still working. (Like everything else.)
The Silicon Valley Tarot is one of the few tarot decks that accurately portrays life as it really was in the very late 20th Century. And with card titles like "The Layoff" (Death) and Spam (The Devil), it's not quite as silly an idea as it first may have seemed. Though don't try to work out what tarot suits correspond to this deck's suits of Cubicles, Disks, Hosts and Networks...your head will surely explode.
Images shown are taken from the internet version of the deck and may be slightly different from the cards in the physical version of the deck (notably, the physical version has black borders).
